Watch the music video for Life Goes On

Republica released today the first music video from their latest album, “Point Of No Return”. The video for the track Life Goes On can be watched below.

Directed by Gerardo Fontenelle and produced by Manimou Produtora, “Life Goes On” draws an analogy to George Orwell's “Animal Farm” by presenting its main character, Poleona, as a pig in a woman's body. Through a radical roller skating sport practiced only by women (Roller Derby), the music video discusses themes such as war and survival in a world that despises minorities.

According to Leo Belling, vocalist of Republica, the analogy between war and women was the perfect 'plot' for the aesthetic result of the music video “Life Goes On”: “The idea for the video connected directly to the lyrics of the song, which talk about the end of individualism and the need to share the desire to transform, to be yourself, to follow your path without fear. Overcoming obstacles and taboos in the pursuit of perfection. Moving forward without looking back.”
